Erasing tattoos of hatred and racism

The image you see above is an outer/visual transformation of a person who had undergone an inner transformation.

Bryon Widner used to be an extremely violent, notorious white supremacist in America whose tattoos on his face, neck, and hands expressed his racist beliefs clearly. But eventually personal changes led Widner to shun his destructive old ways.

Yet, the tattoos remained as a reminder of his past. So as a way to begin his life anew, Widner underwent twenty-five treatments over the course of more than a year and a half to remove them. It was another outward sign of his internal change.

Bill Brummel’s “Erasing Hate,” is a compelling documentary that chronicles the story of Widner. It takes the viewers inside the dark world of racist skinheads, yet offers hope in the story of one man’s escape from a life of violence, bigotry, and hatred.

Yeah, nice. Such a story of hope. You too can live a life of specializing in cutting people’s face with a razor, and still turn out just fine.

He should be in prison.

This is actually really inspiring. Im super stoked this guy made it out. Its not easy to free yourself from a hate group. Kudos to this man and omygosh he looks amazing now that the tats are off. I hope I can see more of him and his story.

I wonder if he changed bc he got locked up and a big black man shoved it in his arss. that would make anyone change their small minded ways. being the bottom biotch in prison.

i think it was retarded in the 1st place that he got those tattoos. and i don’t really think it makes him “special” or enlightened bc he got them taken off.
i really don’t give a flying f about his story. lots of people have small minded beliefs, get tattoos, get them taken off. he probably needs a lot of cash since he spent his whole savings on getting that shit removed.

This is fantastic. people make mistakes, people make bad choices. the fact that people CAN and DO change for the better is what matters. we have to allow people to do that and applaud that change. forgiveness is the best trait we can develop and the absence of it is the ugliest thing there is because we all need it.

so i applaud this good man. and i hope it inspires others to do the same.

BPM and Amber 2- way to focus on the negative. You both need attitude adjustments. This guy changed, became a better person. Anyone can learn from that.

Right, Amber 2, wishing rape on someone makes a lot of sense… (especially coming from a female, shame on you)
Maybe you should watch the documentary and see how and why he became the person he was and now is today…
